Wallpaper - Moon Girl II

In our Moon Girl II wallpaper, created by Mercedes Lopez Charro, an illustrated figure with flowing black hair looks up towards a golden crescent moon set against a wash of sky blue. Soft pink cheeks bring gentle warmth to the pale profile, while delicate white dashes and expressive ink splatters give the background an artistic, painterly character. The handwritten quote, "I will never be a morning person, for the moon and I are much too in love," anchors the composition with a playful nocturnal sentiment. Like all our wall murals, this design is made-to-measure and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

Because the design features a single central figurative illustration and quote, we see this working best as a statement feature wall. In a bedroom or a teenage room, placing the design on the wall behind the bed gives the portrait and lettering space to sit comfortably without competing with tall storage units. It also suits a dedicated home art studio or creative workspace, where the expressive ink details and painterly sky blue backdrop can be appreciated in full. Giving the design an uninterrupted wall surface ensures that neither the crescent moon nor the typography is cut off by bulky furniture.

Styling it

To let the artwork remain the clear focus, we would pair our Moon Girl II design with relatively clean, uncluttered furnishings. Contemporary painted furniture in off-white or soft charcoal complements the strong lines of the black ink drawing without adding competing patterns. Warm accent lighting, such as a bedside lamp with a warm-toned shade, catches the golden hue of the painted crescent moon and enhances the evening mood of the space.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is built around a palette of soft sky blue, pastel pink, golden yellow, and bold black ink. When decorating around this mural wallpaper, we suggest carrying the sky blue onto adjacent walls or painted trim for a cohesive, wrapped feel. Alternatively, crisp white or pale dove grey keeps the surrounding space bright and lets the darker line work stand out. For smaller accents, muted ochre or mustard soft furnishings echo the golden moon naturally.
