Wallpaper - Shimmering Shore l

Our Shimmering Shore I wallpaper, created by Nikita Jariwala, translates a coastal landscape into a modern, collage-like composition of flat colour planes and rhythmic wave lines. What we particularly like about this design is the contrast between the mosaic-style landmass—built from earthy ochre, muted coral, stone grey, and deep navy—and the sweeping, layered turquoise and seafoam tones of the open water. Pale sky and distant hills anchor the upper portion, giving the wall mural a balanced sense of horizon and depth. Our wallpapers are made-to-measure according to your wall dimensions and are completely PVC-free, with a subtle structure in the paper that lends depth to every printed tone.

In the room

Because of its expansive coastal horizon and bold graphic blocks, we see this wall mural working especially well on an uninterrupted feature wall in a living room, dining space, or bedroom. Positioning the design behind a low sofa or a minimalist bed frame allows the detailed rocky shoreline and rolling surf to remain fully in view. In a hallway or study where you want to introduce colour without visual clutter, the broad horizontal movement helps ground the room while keeping the upper wall feeling open and calm.

Generous daylight brings out the subtle shifts between the seafoam and aqua bands, while softer evening lighting deepens the warm earthy patches across the shoreline.

Styling it

To let the expressive shapes of the mural wallpaper set the mood, we suggest pairing it with clean-lined furniture and restrained decorative pieces.

• Choose pale or warm natural woods, such as light ash or muted oak, to echo the sandy and ochre tones in the shoreline without competing with the blue water.
• Introduce plain woven textiles, like undyed linen curtains or a flatweave wool rug in off-white or soft stone, to balance the bold colour blocks.
• Keep wall art and tall shelving off the main wall so the sweeping flow of the waves and coastline remains unbroken across the space.

Colour combinations

The palette in our wallpaper centres around cool ocean blues, seafoam, pale grey, and aqua, grounded by warm ochre, soft terracotta-coral, slate, and navy along the coastline.

For adjacent walls and woodwork, we recommend gentle off-whites, chalky stone, or pale mist greys that reflect the upper sky tones in the mural. If you want to introduce a richer companion colour on surrounding cabinetry, doors, or accent furniture, a muted slate blue or a warm clay tone will draw out the individual mosaic segments in the landscape while keeping the overall room cohesive.
