Wallpaper - Sellin Pier Sunrise

Captured by Jan Becke, our Sellin Pier Sunrise wallpaper presents a serene coastal composition looking down a wooden boardwalk towards the historic pier building on stilts. Soft pastel hues fill the morning sky as the rising sun peeks behind the iconic architecture, casting a warm glow across calm waters, open sands, and neat rows of white beach chairs. This made-to-measure, PVC-free photographic design brings an airy sense of depth and tranquil horizon views into your home, printed on paper with a subtle physical surface structure.

In the room

Because the perspective draws the eye straight out towards the open sea and horizon, we find this wall mural works exceptionally well on a main feature wall where the boardwalk's leading lines have room to breathe. In a holiday home living room or quiet bedroom, placing the design on an uninterrupted wall behind a sofa or low headboard anchors the space without obstructing the architectural details or sunrise glow. The expansive sky and open coastal palette make it an effective choice for rooms where you want to create a lighter, more open visual atmosphere.

Styling it

To let the coastal architecture and peaceful morning light take centre stage, we recommend keeping surrounding furnishings simple and unfussy. Low-profile furniture in light or washed wood tones complements the timber textures of the pier, while crisp white or off-white painted accents echo the railings and traditional beach chairs. For textiles, soft woven cottons or muted natural weaves will harmonise with the sandy foreground, preserving the relaxed, seaside character of the room.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper features a delicate palette of sky blue, warm sunrise amber, soft sandy beige, and crisp white. For adjacent walls and surrounding millwork, we suggest drawing from these gentle tones. A soft warm white or pale off-white on adjoining walls keeps the room cohesive and bright, while a subtle sandy neutral or soft coastal blue creates a gentle tonal continuation without overpowering the morning horizon.
