Wallpaper - Festive Summer VI

Designed by Dina June, our Festive Summer VI wallpaper centres around an intricate circular mandala artwork set against a rich cobalt blue backdrop. At its heart sits a stylised red flower, ringed by rhythmic paisley motifs, delicate white blossoms, and fine dotted patterns painted in shades of coral red, deep navy, and light cornflower blue. A detailed scalloped border frames the central disc, while a subtle, tone-on-tone paisley pattern textures the surrounding blue ground. Printed as a made-to-measure, PVC-free wall mural, this design brings an artistic, textile-inspired feel to any interior feature wall.

In the room

Because this design is built around a prominent circular composition, we think it works best on an uninterrupted feature wall where the entire mandala has space to breathe. It makes a striking statement in a creative home studio, a peaceful reading nook, or a meditation space. In a living room or dining area, positioning the mural centrally behind a low-backed sofa or sideboard allows the symmetrical geometry to anchor the room naturally. A wall that is free from tall wardrobes or high shelving ensures the detailed paisley borders and central floral motif remain fully visible.

Styling it

To let the detailed artwork take centre stage, we would keep the surrounding furniture relatively understated. Clean-lined mid-century or contemporary furniture pieces in warm mid-tone woods, such as teak or warm ash, provide a gentle organic contrast to the cool cobalt ground.

For surrounding soft furnishings, we recommend textured neutral fabrics like unbleached cotton or plain woven upholstery that balance the graphic movement of the paisley shapes. Matte black or muted brass accents in lighting and table frames will pick up on the fine outlines within the illustration without competing for attention.

Colour combinations

The palette in our wallpaper is anchored by deep cobalt and navy blues, enlivened by vibrant red and coral notes alongside clean white details. On adjacent walls, we suggest softer neutral paint tones such as warm off-white, light cream, or a muted stony grey to give the bold blue mural room to stand out. If you prefer a richer, more enveloping scheme, drawing out the deeper navy from the paisley outlines on neighbouring walls creates an intimate, cohesive backdrop that ties the entire space together.
