Wallpaper - Seafood Shanty White VII

Our Seafood Shanty White VII wallpaper, created by Anne Tavoletti, brings together playful horizontal stripes in vibrant cherry red, bright blue and crisp white. Delicate black pin-stripes and stitched-style dashes punctuate the bands, giving the geometric pattern a hand-painted, watercolour-like character with gentle variations in colour density. The balanced rhythm and cheerful nautical feel make this design an inviting backdrop for casual living spaces. Like all Wallism wallpapers, it is custom made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure.

In the room

We particularly like this design in an open kitchen or a dining nook where its crisp horizontal layout adds a lively, casual tempo to the room. The horizontal stripes naturally draw the eye across the wall, making it well suited to a kitchen dining area or an accent wall alongside breakfast seating. Because the pattern repeat is clear and orderly, it also holds its structure nicely on smaller, fragmented walls interrupted by open shelving, door frames or cabinetry.

Styling it

For an interior built around this design, we would lean into traditional coastal, Americana or mid-century retro influences. Simple white or navy painted cabinetry pairs effortlessly with the crisp striped motif, while warm pine or lighter wood dining furniture introduces a relaxed, homely balance. Keeping surrounding accessories clean and unvarnished allows the cheerful watercolour stripes to remain the central decorative feature of the room.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is grounded in bright cherry red, sky blue, deep blue and black against a clean white backdrop. To build a cohesive palette, you could carry the crisp white or soft off-white onto neighbouring walls and woodwork to maintain a light, airy environment. Alternatively, pulling out the deep blue or warm red as an accent tone on painted chairs, bar stools or lower cabinets creates a spirited and purposeful look.
