Wallpaper - Hunting Dog Portrait

Our Hunting Dog Portrait wallpaper brings classic painterly character into a room through a poised hunting hound set against a moody, textured landscape. Created by Danhui Nai, the design features expressive, visible brushwork that gives the subject and its earthy backdrop a traditional fine-art appearance. Warm white and rich tan tones define the dog, contrasting softly against deep olive greens, mossy tones, muted slate grey, and warm ochre soil. Produced as a made-to-measure wall mural on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, it creates an elegant focal point with timeless heritage charm.

In the room

Because of the strong central subject and scenic composition, we see this wall mural working best on a main feature wall where the full figure of the hound has space to stand out. In a study, library, or home office, it creates an inviting, scholarly atmosphere behind a desk or between built-in bookshelves. It also works beautifully in an entryway, dining room, or living room, particularly on a wall that is not overly broken up by tall furniture. The deep, earthy backdrop gives the room an immediate sense of warmth and grounded character, especially in rooms with warm evening lamp lighting.

Styling it

To complement the heritage character of this mural wallpaper, we would pair it with furniture and accents that lean into classic or rustic interior styles:

• Deep-toned wood furniture, such as dark oak, walnut, or mahogany, anchors the traditional aesthetic and harmonises with the rich undertones in the landscape.
• Upholstery in warm leather, textured wool, or muted velvet adds depth and tactile balance without competing with the painted details of the design.
• Antique brass or aged bronze accents, such as reading lamps, picture lights, or hardware, echo the warm ochre and tan hues in the artwork.

Colour combinations

The palette of our wallpaper centres on creamy white and chestnut tan, surrounded by shadowy forest greens, muted grey-green, and warm earthy browns. For adjacent painted walls, we recommend pulling out the softer olive or sage undertones to create an enveloping, cohesive room. Warm stone neutrals, rich cream, or deep charcoal trims also provide an elegant frame for the artwork, while accents in cognac leather and forest green tie the entire space together.
