Wallpaper - Whimsy II

Created in collaboration with artist Cheryl Warrick, our Whimsy II wallpaper brings an expressive, abstract floral composition to the wall. The design layers soft, watercolour-like brushstrokes with organic shapes reminiscent of poppies, meadow blossoms and stylized botanical leaves. An energetic palette of popping orange, warm pink and subtle blue accents gives the repeat its lively character without overwhelming the room. Each of our mural wallpapers is made-to-measure according to your wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure, making it straightforward to hang.

In the room

We especially like this design in spaces where its fluid, artistic composition can be appreciated from different distances. In a bright living room or an open dining area, giving our wallpaper a wide, relatively uninterrupted wall lets the full visual rhythm of the abstract meadow unfold naturally.

The lighter background and playful distribution of colour also make it well suited to more intimate rooms. In a bedroom behind a low headboard, a guest room or a creative home office, the design introduces colour and movement without dominating the surrounding interior. Styling it

Because the motif carries a strong artistic identity with loose watercolour forms, we prefer pairing it with relatively simple furniture silhouettes. Mid-century modern sideboards, clean contemporary dining tables or understated painted pieces allow the abstract botanical elements to remain the central focus.

For surrounding textures, matte painted woodwork and natural woven fabrics such as flat-weave rugs or simple drapery balance the lively orange and pink brushstrokes nicely. Avoid competing bold patterns nearby, and instead let plain upholstery and quieter architectural details ground the space.

Colour combinations

The palette within our design centres on warm, popping orange and pink tones balanced by cooler touches of blue and an airy, neutral backdrop.

When choosing paint colours for adjoining walls, doors and skirting, soft warm whites or pale off-white tones create a fresh, seamless transition that keeps the room open. If you want to draw out the warmer personality of the motif, subtle blush, terracotta or muted coral accents in cushions and ceramics echo the floral shapes. Alternatively, pairing the wallpaper with soft slate blue or gentle grey-blue details creates a crisp, balanced contrast against the orange highlights.
