Wallpaper - Vinyl Groove

Created by Omar Escalante, our Vinyl Groove wallpaper brings a crisp graphic energy to the wall through bold cobalt blue line art on a clean white background. The illustration captures a stylised figure by a record player against shelves of vinyl records, balancing confident outlines with selective blue shading and plenty of open negative space. We like how the clean two-tone palette keeps this mural wallpaper striking without visual clutter. Like all our wall murals, it is made-to-measure to your exact wall dimensions on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface texture.

In the room

Because of its strong figurative motif and prominent scale, we see this design working particularly well as an accent wall in a living room, bedroom, or creative home office. The composition benefits from a wider, relatively uninterrupted wall where the full figure and record shelf illustration have space to breathe. Placing low-profile furniture, such as a low media console or a minimalist sofa, alongside or below the mural keeps the central linework visible while grounding the scene nicely within the room.

Styling it

The distinct graphic quality of this design pairs naturally with modern, mid-century modern, or retro-inspired interiors. To keep the focus on the illustration, we would lean towards furniture with clean lines and understated profiles. Natural warm woods like oak or teak provide an attractive organic balance against the crisp cobalt linework, while matte black accents or simple metal details echo the structured geometry of the turntable and record sleeves. Keeping larger textiles relatively simple helps the wall art remain the defining feature of the space.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper relies on a high-contrast palette of vibrant blue and clear white. To complement this, you could introduce warm timber tones and neutral shades like warm stone or soft off-white on adjacent walls, which soften the contrast while letting the blue pop. For a more deliberate colour scheme, subtle touches of burnt orange, mustard, or navy in surrounding decor create a balanced retro dialogue with the blue artwork.
