Wallpaper - Somersault Orange

Our Somersault Orange wallpaper by Mike Schick brings expressive abstract art to the wall on a bold scale. Broad, painterly sweeps of vivid coral pink and vibrant orange overlap against an off-white background, framed by sweeping, dark charcoal brushlines that introduce strong vertical movement. What we particularly like is the dynamic tension between the loose, layered color fields and the decisive linear strokes, giving the artwork an energetic, gallery-like character. Made-to-measure on our PVC-free paper with a subtle paper structure, our mural wallpapers bring a vibrant artistic focal point into modern interiors.

In the room

In a living room, we see this design working exceptionally well on a main feature wall behind a sofa or across a wide, open wall area where the large-scale composition has ample space to breathe. The sweeping vertical lines draw the eye upwards, making it an inspiring choice for rooms with standard or higher ceilings alike. Because the composition balances intense blocks of colour with generous pale space, it provides a dramatic visual statement without overwhelming the entire space. For a creative home studio or open-plan living area, our wall murals establish an artistic focal point that anchors the entire room layout.

Styling it

To let the expressive artwork lead the room, we would pair this design with clean-lined contemporary furniture in neutral upholstery such as warm off-white or soft grey. Ground the vibrant palette with darker accents, like charcoal or matte black metal lighting and table frames, which pick up on the dramatic brushstrokes running through the motif. If you want to lean into an eclectic maximalist interior, introduce smaller decorative accents in warm terracotta or ochre to echo the radiant orange tones, keeping larger surfaces simple so the wallpaper remains the clear hero of the room.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is defined by its confident palette of radiant orange, saturated coral pink, and deep charcoal set against a crisp off-white backdrop. When decorating around it, we suggest taking cues from the background tone for adjoining walls, using warm white or pale chalky neutrals to maintain an airy feel. To create subtle contrast, mid-toned grey or deep charcoal trim can anchor the room by echoing the dark vertical linework. For softer accents across cushions or ceramics, muted apricot, soft blush, or warm amber harmonize naturally with the central colour blocks.
