Wallpaper - Spring Nectar VI

Our Spring Nectar VI wallpaper by Lisa Audit captures a solitary hummingbird in mid flight against a solid black backdrop. What we particularly like about this mural wallpaper is the delicate painted character of the bird, where visible brushstroke textures blend soft silvery greys, muted sage greens, and warm dusky undertones across the outstretched wings and plumage. The strong contrast between the luminous motif and the deep dark background creates an immediate focal point, giving the design a striking yet elegant presence. Produced made to measure on our PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure, this wallpaper is straightforward to hang and brings a refined artistic atmosphere to any wall.

In the room

Because the composition centers a single poised hummingbird against a deep, dark field, we see this wall mural working particularly well as an accent wall in a living room, dining room, or bedroom. Placing the design on a feature wall behind a sofa or headboard gives the wingspan room to breathe without competing with too many visual breaks. In a dining area or a study, the dramatic dark backdrop creates an intimate, enveloping setting, especially in rooms where focused accent lighting can highlight the delicate details of the bird.

Styling it

To complement the dramatic contrast and artistic quality of this wallpaper, we would keep surrounding furnishings understated and grounded:

• Pair the deep background with warm, natural wood finishes such as walnut or darker stained timber to bring depth to the space.
• Introduce soft, tactile fabrics in charcoal, muted olive, or off-white across upholstery, cushions, or curtains to echo the natural tones within the hummingbird's feathers.
• Keep wall decor on adjacent walls minimal, allowing the central motif to remain the clear anchor of the room.

Colour combinations

The design is built on a rich black base accented with muted sage, silver grey, soft white, and earthy undertones within the bird. Around it, we recommend continuing deep charcoal or soft off-black tones on adjacent walls or trim for a dramatic, cohesive look. Alternatively, warm off-whites, misty greys, or muted greens will create a gentle, balanced transition that lets the wallpaper stand out naturally.
