Wallpaper - Pier IV

Our Pier IV wallpaper, created in collaboration with artist Deborah Revell, captures a quiet coastal scene rendered with a painterly, textured finish. A weathered wooden pier leads the gaze directly forward over soft, pale waters towards an open horizon, while perched seagulls and one bird in mid-flight bring a gentle rhythm to the composition. Soft blue-grey tones in the water meet a pale sky washed with subtle warm yellow undertones, balanced by earthy timber hues along the walkway. Like all Wallism mural wallpapers, this design is made to measure and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

We see this design working particularly well as an accent wall in a living room, bedroom or dedicated home office where the central perspective can open up the feeling of the space. Because the perspective lines of the wooden boards draw the eye inward towards the horizon, we suggest giving the wallpaper a wide, relatively uninterrupted wall area. In a bedroom, placing it directly behind the bed headboard frames the sleeping space naturally, while in an open-plan dining area or sitting room, it creates a grounded, serene backdrop.

Styling it

To complement the coastal character and light tones of the artwork, we recommend keeping surrounding furniture clean and unpretentious. Lower-profile seating allows the full depth of the pier motif to remain visible across the room. Natural, pale timber finishes harmonize easily with the weathered wood depicted in the foreground, while simple woven upholstery in neutral shades keeps the overall setting relaxed and balanced.

The wallpaper is grounded in soft seafoam, muted blue-grey, weathered off-white and sandy timber tones, accented with delicate touches of warm yellow in the upper sky and an earthy ochre line near the base. When planning surrounding walls, we suggest matching adjacent surfaces to soft stone, warm off-white, or muted sand to maintain an airy aesthetic. For bolder contrast, dark navy or deep slate grey on adjacent architectural woodwork or soft furnishings picks up on the deeper coastal accents within the scene.
