Wallpaper - Somerset

Our Somerset wallpaper, designed by Julia Dreams, pairs delicate white botanical line drawings with a warm cinnamon brown background. We particularly like the open, airy rhythm of the slender floral sprigs, which give the motif an uncluttered and graceful presence on the wall. The contrast between crisp ink-style linework and the rich earthy backdrop creates a tranquil, organic modern feel across any room. Printed made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface texture, our wallpapers are designed to be straightforward to hang.

In the room

In a bedroom, we see this design working beautifully across all four walls to create an enveloping, restful environment. Because the botanical motifs are spaced out generously across the cinnamon field, the pattern does not overwhelm, even in more compact spaces or an entryway. In a living room, we would give our mural wallpapers a prominent wall behind a sofa where the vertical flow of the stems can draw the eye upwards and celebrate the ceiling height.

Styling it

We would pair this design with simple furniture silhouettes and natural finishes that complement its organic character. Pale oak or warm birch furniture keeps the cinnamon background feeling fresh and grounded, while off-white or cream upholstery mirrors the clean white lines of the floral drawing. Keeping larger decorative objects quietly sculptural allows the delicate botanical pattern to stand out naturally.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper features a warm cinnamon brown terracotta base with crisp white linework. Around it, we suggest introducing soft ivory, warm cream, or gentle taupe on adjacent woodwork and ceilings to reflect the lightness of the botanical illustration. For larger accents or soft furnishings, deep rust, toasted almond, or muted olive green tones blend effortlessly with the earthy background.
