Wallpaper - Simply Celestial I

Our Simply Celestial I wallpaper centres on an expressive, vintage-inspired sun with finely etched facial features and radiating golden rays. Set against a deep midnight-blue sky scattered with starlight, twinkling constellations, and celestial spatter, the composition creates an immediate focal point with rich vintage character. The contrast between the warm golden ochre tones and the deep ink-blue background gives this design a bold, dramatic presence on the wall. Made to measure on our PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure, it brings an imaginative, historical warmth to a wide range of interior spaces.

In the room

Because of the strong central motif and the striking contrast between the sun and deep starry sky, we see this wall mural working particularly well as a dedicated feature wall. In a living room or bedroom, positioning the design behind a sofa or headboard anchors the room while letting the complete celestial motif remain clearly visible. It also brings character to a cosy study or hallway where a bold graphic statement can define the mood of the space.

For smaller rooms or reading nooks, the deep blue backdrop creates an intimate, enveloping atmosphere without overwhelming the area, especially when placed on an uninterrupted wall.

Styling it

To balance the bold presence and vintage etching style of our design, we recommend keeping surrounding furniture relatively clean in profile so the wallpaper remains the centrepiece.

• Pair with warm, medium-to-dark wood finishes such as walnut or aged oak to complement the golden hues of the sun rays.
• Incorporate brass, antique bronze, or blackened metal details on lighting and hardware to echo the celestial warmth and line work.
• Use simple, textured upholstery in neutral off-white, taupe, or navy to keep the visual focus firmly on the wall.

Colour combinations

The palette is defined by rich midnight blue, golden ochre, and soft cream stars. For adjacent painted walls, a muted navy or dark slate creates a continuous, moody backdrop, while a warm off-white or soft linen shade offers a balanced, lighter contrast that brightens the rest of the room. Rich ochre or mustard accents in soft furnishings can pick up the warm centre of the sun and tie the entire room scheme together.
