Wallpaper - Shellfish Social VI

Our Shellfish Social VI wallpaper, created in collaboration with Veronique Charron, features a central illustrated panel of three spotted blue fish framed within a geometric tile-inspired backdrop. Painted in rich shades of cobalt, seafoam, terracotta red, and warm off-white, the design balances the lively character of coastal folk art with structured pattern. The repeating geometric background uses petal and floral-like tile motifs that give the wallpaper rhythm and warmth across the wall. Printed made-to-measure on our PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, it brings a fresh, artisanal Mediterranean feel to any interior.

In the room

We see this design working especially well in a dining room, kitchen dining area, or a welcoming hallway. Because the central fish motif forms a natural focal point, the wallpaper makes a statement on an accent wall behind a dining table or along an open wall where the framed illustration remains clearly visible. In a breakfast nook or casual eating space, the balance between graphic tile repetition and illustrated subject matter creates a convivial, relaxed atmosphere. The motif also translates charmingly into a downstairs cloakroom or guest bathroom, where the coastal theme and ceramic-tile look bring plenty of visual personality to a compact space.

Styling it

To complement the artisanal character of the design, we recommend pairing it with warm, natural materials and clean silhouettes. Unfinished or lightly oiled oak dining furniture, rustic pine, or terracotta floor tiles pick up on the warm red accents in the pattern. Matte ceramic tableware, woven rush or rattan seating, and simple wrought-iron or brushed bronze lighting fixtures echo the handcrafted look without competing with the wallpaper's lively visual detail. Keeping larger upholstery in neutral off-whites or soft denims allows the blue and red palette on the wall to remain the central focus of the room.

Colour combinations

The design is built on a vibrant Mediterranean palette of deep cobalt blue, soft seafoam, earthy terracotta red, and a warm cream background. When choosing paint for adjacent walls, skirting, or cabinetry, pulling out the warm off-white creates a bright, cohesive look that lets the pattern stand out. For a bolder, more enveloping scheme, matching woodwork or kitchen cabinets to a rich navy or dusty coastal blue grounds the space handsomely. Soft terracotta, warm ochre accents, or gentle sage tones also harmonize naturally with the fish and tile illustration.
