Wallpaper - Northern Waterfall - Watercolor Landscapes Series

Our Northern Waterfall wallpaper brings together the movement of rushing water and the stillness of a pine-covered landscape in a delicate watercolour-inspired style. Soft washes of blue, earthy tones, and deep pine greens emerge from a light, airy background, while fine painterly splatters and subtle brushwork give the impression of rising mist. What we particularly appreciate about this mural wallpaper is its balanced horizontal flow, capturing rocky ledges and evergreen trees without overwhelming the room. Printed to your specific wall dimensions, our PVC-free wallpapers feature a subtle paper texture and are designed to be straightforward to hang.

In the room

We see this design working beautifully on a main feature wall in a living room, positioned behind a low sofa where the broad horizon of the waterfall has space to unfold across the wall. In a bedroom, placing it behind the headboard creates an open, scenic backdrop that frames the sleeping area naturally. Because the composition carries its darker detail along the banks and trees while leaving generous lighter space throughout the sky and mist, it also suits a home office or a wider hallway entryway without feeling visually heavy. In rooms with ample daylight, the delicate tonal variations between the watery blues and soft greens become especially rewarding to look at.

Styling it

To keep the visual focus on the scenery, we would pair our wall murals with furniture that features clean, uncomplicated silhouettes and low visual weight. Lighter or natural warm wood tones work in harmony with the earthy shades along the riverbank, grounding the wall without competing with the landscape. For surrounding textiles, soft textured neutrals like unbleached cotton or simple wool rugs allow the painterly details of the wallpaper to remain the centre of attention.

Colour combinations

The artwork centres on soft watery blues, misty whites, earthy stone browns, and rich pine greens. To build a cohesive palette around our wallpaper, we recommend using off-white, soft chalky grey, or gentle stone tones on adjoining walls and woodwork. If you would like to introduce deeper contrast through decorative accents or upholstery, deep forest green or slate blue draws directly from the tree canopy and shadowed water.
