Wallpaper - Bowl Of Fresh Lemons

Our Bowl Of Fresh Lemons wallpaper, created by Morgan Birch, brings a vibrant still life composition to the wall with expressive gouache-like brushwork and bold colour contrast. Ripe yellow lemons overflow from a blue and white patterned ceramic bowl, accompanied by lush green citrus leaves and loose lemons resting across a patterned tablecloth against a deep navy background. We particularly like how the warm, sunny yellows and lively greens stand out against the rich, dark backdrop, giving the motif a joyful, artistic presence. Like all our wall murals, this design is made-to-measure to fit your room dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

With its classic still life subject and energetic painterly feel, we see this mural wallpaper working particularly well in dining rooms, kitchens, breakfast nooks, or open-plan dining spaces. Because the motif is arranged as a central, large-scale composition, it naturally creates a striking focal point when placed on an uninterrupted feature wall, such as behind a dining table or along a main kitchen wall. In a dining area, positioning the tabletop motif at or slightly above eye level anchors the seating area and brings warmth and personality into the room.

Styling it

To let the artwork's character take centre stage, we would pair this design with simple, grounded interior elements. Natural mid-tone or warm timber furniture, such as a rustic oak dining table or simple wooden chairs, complements the organic, Mediterranean feel of the lemons without competing for attention.

For surrounding decor, unbleached linen tableware, simple white ceramics, or matte dark blue accents echo the colours within the motif while keeping the overall setting relaxed and cohesive.

Colour combinations

The palette centres around radiant lemon yellow, deep navy blue, fresh botanical greens, and soft cobalt details on a clean white ground. When selecting paint for adjoining walls or woodwork, a crisp off-white or soft warm cream keeps the space feeling bright and fresh. If you want a more intimate and dramatic look, drawing out the deep navy for adjacent walls or trim creates a rich, seamless backdrop that lets the bright fruit stand out with exceptional clarity.
