Wallpaper - Deco Waves

Our Deco Waves wallpaper captures the sweeping movement of rolling ocean crests through rhythmic, fine line work inspired by classic Art Deco and Art Nouveau aesthetics. Stylised swirling crests and curling foam surge across the composition, rendered in warm caramel and golden metallic tones set against a deep, dark brown backdrop. The screenprint-inspired graphic structure gives the design a dramatic and artistic presence that brings dynamic flow to a space. Produced as custom made-to-measure wall murals, our wallpapers are PVC-free and printed on paper with a subtle physical surface structure.

In the room

Because of the bold scale and sweeping linear rhythm, we especially like this design on a wider, uninterrupted feature wall where the waves have space to crest and unfurl across the room. In a living room, it works wonderfully positioned behind a low-profile sofa, allowing the rising wave forms to create a dramatic architectural backdrop. The deep base tone and fine golden-brown linework also make it an evocative choice for a dedicated meditation room or quiet lounge area, where the flowing, repetitive curves introduce a sense of continuous motion and visual depth.

Styling it

When decorating around such a graphic and expressive pattern, we suggest balancing the wall with furniture featuring clean, grounded silhouettes.

• Pair the flowing line work with dark wood finishes or deep bronze and aged brass accents that echo the warm metallic look of the waves.
• Choose low-backed seating and upholstered pieces in rich, plain fabrics such as deep velvet or smooth woven textures to avoid competing with the intricate pattern.
• Incorporate focused, warm low-level lamps rather than bright central lighting to highlight the tonal contrast between the fine lines and the dark background.

Colour combinations

Our mural wallpapers feature an intricate interplay of caramel, warm bronze, and golden tones set over a dark brown, almost charcoal-tinted base. To complement these verified shades, we recommend using warm off-whites, muted taupe, or deep espresso tones on adjacent painted walls and woodwork. If you want to lean into a more dramatic mood, carrying deep charcoal or dark umber across the ceiling and skirting boards will frame the design seamlessly.
