Wallpaper - Feather Fans

Designed by L. Kramer, our Feather Fans wallpaper presents a delicate, repeating fan motif crafted entirely from finely detailed feather illustrations. Arranged in elegant arches reminiscent of Art Nouveau and classic heritage patterns, the design balances intricate line work with a calm, monochromatic smoke grey palette. The gentle contrast between the shaded feather barbs and the neutral grey background creates a soft woven-textile appearance across the wall. Produced to your exact dimensions, our PVC-free wallpapers feature a subtle surface texture in the paper and are straightforward to hang.

In the room

The rhythmic, fan-like arches give Feather Fans an architectural quality that works wonderfully across both compact and expansive spaces. In a bedroom, we like positioning it on the wall behind the headboard, where the gentle upward curves create a quiet, grounding focal point without overwhelming the rest of the decor. The design is equally suited to a living room, whether framing an open seating arrangement or running continuously across multiple walls. Because the grey tones are soft and the repeat is balanced, the pattern brings structure to a room while maintaining an open, tranquil atmosphere throughout the day.

Styling it

When styling Feather Fans, we suggest leaning into its refined period character with clean, tailored furnishings. Darker wood tones such as walnut or deep stained oak complement the graphic detail of the smoke grey arches, providing a warm visual weight that anchors the room. Upholstered seating in muted, woven fabrics or smooth linen pairs naturally with the fine, textile-inspired linework of the feathers. To prevent competing visual elements, keep surrounding patterns minimal and let simple, sculptural silhouettes and matte ceramics echo the graceful curves of the wallpaper design.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper itself is defined by a monochromatic palette of soft smoke grey, charcoal outlines, and subtle neutral grey shading. To create a harmonious interior, consider surrounding walls or woodwork in chalky off-whites, warm greys, or muted stone tones that reflect the neutral base. For a moodier, heritage-inspired look, deep charcoal, soft graphite, or muted slate accents on painted cabinetry, skirting boards, or window frames will draw out the crisp details in the feathers.
