Wallpaper - Rare Earth Crosby Street

Our Rare Earth Crosby Street wallpaper brings together bold abstract forms and an earthy palette inspired by contemporary fine art. Designed by Pamela Munger, the composition balances a dominant, expressive black mass against warm mocha brown, separated by a sweeping white band that guides the eye down toward a vibrant yellow semi-circle. Painted brushstrokes and subtle hints of rust red give the motif visual depth and painterly texture. Produced as made-to-measure mural wallpapers on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical structure, this design brings an artistic, gallery-like presence into any room.

In the room

We see this wallpaper working especially well as a commanding feature wall in a living room, creative studio, or open-plan living area. Because the forms are large and graphic, giving the design an uninterrupted wall allows the sweeping curves and balanced color blocks to be experienced in their entirety. In a living room, placing it behind a low sofa lets the dynamic black and mocha shapes command the upper wall while keeping the vibrant yellow anchored below.

Styling it

To let the artwork remain the focal point, we recommend pairing this design with furniture that has clean, architectural lines and understated profiles. Modern or minimalist seating in neutral upholstery keeps the room feeling calm and deliberate.

For surrounding materials, warm wood furniture complements the mocha and rust tones within the painting, while slender black metal accents on lighting or table bases can echo the heavy black focal shape.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper itself features a distinctive palette of mocha brown, deep charcoal black, warm golden yellow, crisp off-white, and subtle rust undertones.

When choosing paint colours for adjoining walls or woodwork, soft warm whites or pale oatmeal tones offer a natural, luminous backdrop that lets the mural breathe. If you prefer deeper contrast, styling the space with accents in rich espresso brown, terracotta, or muted ochre ties directly into the earthy hues of the composition.
