Designed by Laura Marshall, our Blooms wallpaper brings together soft watercolour-style washes, warm earthy shapes and delicate botanical line drawings in an expressive abstract repeat. Warm coral, terracotta, blush and deep mauve-brown patches overlap against a clean white ground, accented by playful grid marks, fine stippling and golden leaf silhouettes. What we particularly like is the balance between the fluid, translucent paint stains and the sharper graphic linework, which gives the pattern plenty of visual rhythm without feeling cluttered. In the room

Styling it

We recommend letting the wallpaper set the artistic tone of the room while keeping the surrounding furniture clean-lined and contemporary. Mid-century silhouettes or modern curved furniture in warm neutral upholstery work particularly well, echoing the soft contours of the watercolour patches. To balance the playful graphic elements, we would introduce warm timber pieces or sleek black metal accents that pick up on the fine grid work and ink marks in the print. Textured bouclé, unbleached cotton, or simple ceramic vessels complement the painterly qualities of the mural wallpapers nicely without competing for attention.

Colour combinations

The design features a rich palette of coral, terracotta, peach, dusky blush, warm ochre and deep plum-brown against a crisp white background. To create a cohesive interior, we suggest pulling the warm, muted tones out into the wider room. Soft plaster pink, warm off-white, or muted beige on adjacent walls will keep the space light and inviting.
