Wallpaper - Cabin Fever I

Designed by Janelle Penner, our Cabin Fever I wallpaper captures the rustic charm of lakeside retreat life. Set against a weathered, horizontal wood-plank visual background in soft powder blue, the composition features bold retro lettering reading "LIFE IS BETTER at the CABIN". Crossed canoe paddles anchor the centre, framed by outdoor motifs including a campfire, red canoe, fishing fly, oak leaf, and acorns in warm earthy tones. Like all our wallpapers, this mural design is custom made-to-measure, PVC-free, and printed on paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

We designed this mural wallpaper to bring character and a relaxed, nostalgic mood to cosy living spaces. Because it is a graphic mural layout with central focal elements, we think it works best on an uninterrupted feature wall where the complete artwork can be appreciated without tall furniture obscuring the typography. It feels naturally at home in a rustic cabin living area, an inviting reading nook, a boot room, or a relaxed guest bedroom.

Styling it

When styling around Cabin Fever I, we like to echo its traditional, outdoor-inspired character with natural interior materials:

• Pair the design with warm wood furniture or rustic timber finishes to complement the weathered wood-panel appearance in the artwork.
• Balance the strong typography and illustrated details by keeping surrounding upholstery and curtains in simple, unpatterned textures.

Colour combinations

The palette in our wallpaper centres on powder blue and weathered grey tones, accented by earthy rust, ochre, forest green, and charcoal brown. For surrounding walls and woodwork, warm off-whites or muted pebble greys keep the space bright while letting the mural take centre stage.
