Wallpaper - Waterwood

Tall evergreen pines rise through layers of pale, drifting mist in our Waterwood wallpaper, captured by photographer Nathan Larson. The composition balances deep pine green foliage and dark, shadowed woodland against an expansive, hazy sky, while subtle vertical tree reflections in the calm water above lend the scene a quiet, dreamlike depth. Produced made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, this design brings an atmospheric, grounded landscape into the home with understated visual balance.

In the room

We see this photographic landscape working especially well on a wide, main wall in a living room or dedicated meditation space. Because the design features deep, grounding tones along the lower edge that transition into an open, misty pale backdrop, it creates visual height without feeling heavy. On an uninterrupted wall behind a sofa or low credenza, the vertical silhouettes of the pine trees have room to unfold across the full width of the room. In rooms with soft daylight, the fine needle details and hazy transitions between fog and forest remain distinct and gentle.

Styling it

When styling around our wall murals with deep natural motifs, we like to keep surrounding shapes simple and grounded. Low-profile furniture works particularly well here, ensuring the line of the pine trees remains clearly visible across the wall. Warm wood tones, such as honeyed oak or walnut, pick up the earthy undertones of the forest floor, while unadorned matte pottery and structured wool or woven upholstery create an organic balance against the soft, photographic mist.

Colour combinations

The palette in our wallpaper is built around deep pine green, shadowed charcoal-brown, and misty, neutral off-white. To create a seamless setting, we recommend pairing this mural wallpaper with soft chalky neutrals, pale mushroom, or muted stone tones on neighbouring walls and woodwork. If you want to echo the deeper forest elements, dark moss green or charcoal accents in furniture upholstery and decorative details help anchor the space.
