Wallpaper - Bold Petals III

Our Bold Petals III wallpaper, created by Veronique Charron, features a large stylised botanical bloom with five wide terracotta-red petals set against a textured warm beige backdrop. Painterly linework, rich outlines and fine vertical striations give the flower its woodcut-inspired graphic character, while an ochre yellow core and sweeping moss green leaves ground the composition. Gentle clusters of muted grey dots flank the bloom, adding an artisanal print feel. Like all Wallism wallpapers, this mural wallpaper is made to measure and produced without PVC.

In the room

With its large visual scale and confident graphic lines, we see this design working particularly well as a focal point in a living room, dining room or bedroom. The sweeping proportions of the stem and bloom make it an excellent choice for a wider, uninterrupted wall behind a sofa or dining table where the complete silhouette can be appreciated without being obscured by tall furniture. In a hallway or entryway, it brings immediate warmth and a playful, retro-inspired greeting to an area with lower light, while in a home office it adds a vibrant graphic presence that enlivens working spaces.

Styling it

The expressive lines and 1960s retro character of the print pair naturally with mid-century modern or relaxed contemporary interiors. We suggest letting the wallpaper take centre stage by keeping surrounding furniture simple and grounded. Low-profile credenzas or dining tables in warm timber, such as teak or warm oak, echo the organic, woodcut quality of the artwork. When choosing accessories and textiles, matte ceramics, unbleached cottons or plain upholstery in earthy neutrals create a balanced contrast against the bold floral silhouette.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is defined by rich terracotta red, deep burnt orange tones, moss green, ochre yellow, soft beige and neutral grey dots. When painting adjacent walls or selecting trims, warm stone, oatmeal or soft linen shades provide a calm foundation that harmonises with the background. For a more tonal and immersive environment, you could pick out the muted olive and moss greens of the foliage for surrounding woodwork, or introduce accents in terracotta and mustard to highlight the core of the flower.
