Wallpaper - Ink Sribbles, Stone

Our Ink Scribbles, Stone wallpaper by RNM Arts features fluid, expressive brushstrokes that meander across a soft, warm neutral background. The motif has a painted-looking character with textured, feathered edges along the abstract lines, creating gentle organic movement across the wall. Rendered in muted grey-beige and stone tones, the low-contrast composition offers visual interest without overpowering the surrounding space. Produced as a made-to-measure design on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, it is straightforward to hang and brings a considered artistic touch to interior walls.

In the room

Because the abstract brushwork flows freely without rigid geometric breaks, we find this design works exceptionally well across larger, continuous wall areas. In an open living room or bedroom, the repeat creates a continuous rhythm that connects the room together. The soft contrast between the stone strokes and the neutral backdrop means it handles walls broken by windows or interior doors effortlessly, keeping its visual flow intact. We also like using it in a home study or hallway where you can appreciate the loose, painterly detail up close without it feeling visually busy in smaller proportions.

Styling it

We recommend letting the expressive linework of the pattern guide the room by pairing it with clean-lined, understated furnishings.

• Choose furniture with simplified silhouettes in warm oak, birch, or painted neutral finishes to keep the visual focus balanced.
• Introduce textured upholstery like bouclé, wool, or flat-weave textiles in soft taupe, off-white, or heathered grey to complement the painterly brushstrokes.
• Add accents in brushed nickel, matte blackened metal, or organic stoneware ceramics that echo the stone tones in the wallpaper.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is defined by its muted palette of warm stone, taupe-grey linework, and a pale, creamy beige ground. To build an effortless room scheme, we would draw out these foundational shades onto adjacent woodwork and trim using soft off-whites, warm chalky neutrals, or muted limestone tones. If you want to introduce subtle contrast through larger textiles or accent furniture, deeper charcoal, washed espresso, soft olive, or muted camel sit naturally against the neutral stone base.
