Wallpaper - Floral Elements

Our Floral Elements wallpaper by Shirley Novak captures a delicate transition across the wall, moving from fine monochrome pencil sketches into radiant watercolour blooms. On one side, graceful outlines of poppy flowers and buds sit lightly against a pale ground, before blossoming into warm shades of blush pink, yellow, orange, and red, accented by soft green foliage. The painterly style and open composition give the pattern an airy, artistic character. Made to measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, this design brings a gentle creative focal point to residential interiors.

In the room

Because the design develops horizontally from fine line work into full colour, we especially like giving this wall mural a wider, uninterrupted wall where the complete progression can be appreciated. In a bedroom, it works naturally behind the bedhead, allowing the softer monochrome side to anchor one corner while the vibrant blooms add warmth across the rest of the room. It also suits a study, home library, or creative space, where the sketch-like quality and light background keep the room feeling bright and visually open without overwhelming the space.

Styling it

We recommend pairing this design with furniture that echoes its light, considered feel rather than heavy, ornate silhouettes.

• Choose furniture in pale or warm mid-toned wood, which complements the warm blush, orange, and yellow tones without competing with the detailed floral line work.
• Use plain, textured fabrics such as woven cotton or bouclé in off-white, cream, or muted blush to balance the painterly flowers.
• Keep wall decor and shelving away from the main coloured section of the mural so the watercolour blooms remain the primary visual focus.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is built on a light, pale ground featuring soft grey sketch lines alongside blush pink, warm yellow, soft red, terracotta orange, and botanical green. To complement the motif, we suggest pairing it with surrounding walls in chalky warm white, soft alabaster, or a very gentle blush. If you prefer deeper contrast in woodwork, shelving, or upholstery, earthy terracottas, muted olive greens, or soft warm greys pick up the botanical tones beautifully while maintaining a cohesive look.
