Wallpaper - Kala Flowers White on Red

Our Kala Flowers White on Red wallpaper brings a lively, historic botanical repeat to life against a warm coral pink backdrop. Created by Sue Schlabach, the design features intricate floral and leafy motifs rendered in soft white linework with delicate blush accents, giving it the visual character of heritage block-printed chintz textiles. The seamless rhythm of flowing stems, stylised blossoms, and ornate foliage creates an engaging, decorative presence on the wall without overwhelming the room. Like all Wallism wallpapers, this design is made to measure to your exact wall dimensions on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical texture that adds depth to the printed pattern.

In the room

The dense yet graceful repeat makes this design particularly versatile across both compact and generous living spaces. In a bedroom or guest room, we see this working wonderfully behind a bedhead to establish a warm, decorative focal point, or wrapped around all four walls in a dressing room to create an inviting, jewel-box feel. The balanced scale of the botanical elements also suits a living room where you want the pattern to converse with soft furnishings rather than dominate them. Because the artwork relies on crisp white outlines over a coral ground, it holds its detail effortlessly in bright daylight while taking on a softer, intimate warmth under gentle evening lamplight.

Styling it

To complement the heritage textile aesthetic of the design, we suggest pairing it with interior elements that balance its ornate detail:

• Anchor the warmth of the coral pink ground with painted joinery in soft off-white, antique cream, or a muted olive green to frame the pattern cleanly.
• Choose natural upholstery fabrics like heavy textured cotton, washed linen, or velvet in neutral tones, allowing the floral wallpaper to remain the primary visual feature in the room.
• Introduce furniture in warm wood tones or painted vintage pieces with classic silhouettes to echo the historic character of the botanical repeat.

Colour combinations

The palette of this wallpaper centres on a vibrant coral pink ground, layered with crisp white outlines and gentle pastel peach and blush highlights within the petals. To build a cohesive room scheme around it, we recommend drawing on soft warm whites or buttermilk creams for woodwork and cornicing. For a subtler tonal harmony, dusty rose and terracotta accents in rugs or cushions echo the base colour naturally. If you prefer a more contrasting approach, muted sage or mossy greens provide a classic complementary balance that brings out the floral nature of the artwork.
