Wallpaper - Scintilla, Peat

Our Scintilla wallpaper in Peat brings together an earthy, deep brown palette with fine stippled detailing and gentle organic movement. Created by Wallism Studio, the motif uses delicate variations in tone to suggest a soft, weathered visual texture across the surface. What we particularly like about this design is the low-contrast gradient flow, where subtle shifts between dark peat and warm espresso create depth without introducing busy line work. Our made-to-measure mural wallpapers are printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical structure, making them straightforward to hang in any residential space.

In the room

Because of the quiet visual texture and grounded, deep brown color, we see this working well across multiple walls in a bedroom or dining room. The low contrast allows the wallpaper to wrap a space comfortably without overwhelming it. In a living room or home office with generous daylight, the delicate dotting and organic tonal shifts become clearer, adding interest to uninterrupted wall areas behind a sofa or desk. In smaller rooms or powder rooms, the rich peat tone creates an intimate, enveloping backdrop that feels grounded and cohesive.

Styling it

We would pair this deep brown design with warm, lighter wood tones and soft, neutral upholstery to keep the room balanced.

In a modern or minimalist setting, simple furniture silhouettes in natural ash or pale oak offer a clean visual contrast against the dark background. For lighting and hardware, warm metallic accents like aged brass or bronze complement the earthy base without competing with the subtle printed movement.

Color combinations

The wallpaper is defined by its deep peat brown, warm umber, and soft espresso tones. To create an inviting atmosphere, we suggest pairing it with warm off-white or cream painted trim and ceilings. Earthy neutrals like taupe, warm stone, and muted terracotta also sit comfortably alongside the peat base, whether in drapery, area rugs, or surrounding painted walls.
