Wallpaper - Timber Clad, Dark Rosewood

Our Timber Clad, Dark Rosewood wallpaper brings the deep, atmospheric character of vertical wooden planks to your interior. The design showcases rich, dark rosewood tones, displaying natural grain movement, subtle knots, and tonal shifts ranging from deep espresso brown to warmer auburn undertones. Vertical plank seams create a structured, architectural rhythm across the wall, giving any room a grounded, panelled aesthetic. Like all our wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure according to your specific wall dimensions and is completely PVC-free.

In the room

We see this design working particularly well in spaces where you want to create an intimate, cocooning atmosphere. In a living room or dining room, applying our wall murals behind a seating area or dining table introduces immediate warmth and architectural structure. The vertical orientation of the timber motif draws the eye upward, which can accentuate ceiling height in rooms of various sizes. Because the dark palette absorbs light, placing it on a focal wall creates a dramatic, grounding backdrop without overwhelming the space, especially in rooms with generous natural light or layered ambient lamps in the evening. In a study or bedroom, it creates a tailored, quiet setting behind a desk or headboard.

Styling it

When styling alongside this rich wood-effect design, we suggest balancing the deep, dark timber tones with contrasting textures and lighter elements:

• Pair with upholstered furniture in soft cream, oatmeal, or warm taupe fabrics, such as boucle or tailored linen, to create a striking contrast against the dark background.
• Introduce warm metal accents like brushed brass, antique bronze, or matte black in lighting fixtures and hardware to complement the architectural plank lines.
• Incorporate low-profile furniture and clean silhouettes, avoiding overly ornate woodwork that might compete with the pronounced grain of the wallpaper.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is defined by its deep palette of dark chocolate brown, charcoal undertones, and warm mahogany accents. To complement these tones on adjacent walls and woodwork, we recommend pairing this design with warm off-whites, soft stone neutrals, or muted greige to keep the surrounding space bright and balanced. If you prefer a moodier, monochromatic look, deep charcoal, muted olive green, or rich espresso work well on adjacent trim and doors.
