Wallpaper - Timber Clad, Graphite

Our Timber Clad, Graphite wallpaper brings the visual character of dark, vertical timber panelling to an interior wall. We designed this motif with continuous vertical planks showing subtle grain movement, knots, and tonal shifts between charcoal, slate grey, and deep off-black. The vertical alignment provides a grounded, architectural rhythm that introduces organic structure without feeling noisy. Printed to your specific wall dimensions, our made-to-measure mural wallpapers are PVC-free and feature a subtle physical texture in the paper that complements the visual depth of the wood grain.

In the room

We see this design working particularly well in living rooms, dining spaces, and bedrooms where you want to add visual depth or create a defined focal point. The vertical flow of the wood panelling naturally draws the eye upwards, which can accentuate wall height in rooms with standard or lower ceilings. On an uninterrupted feature wall behind a sofa or bed frame, the dark charcoal tones create an enclosing, atmospheric backdrop. In open-plan living areas, applying this wallpaper to a single dining wall helps anchor the space and delineate it from adjacent zones.

Styling it

Because the dark timber motif carries strong architectural presence, we prefer balancing it with clean-lined furniture and thoughtful material contrast. Low-profile seating in textured off-white, oatmeal, or muted grey wool prevents the room from feeling too heavy while allowing the wallpaper's vertical grain to remain prominent.

To bring warmth alongside the charcoal and graphite palette, we suggest introducing mid-tone natural woods, such as walnut or warm oak, in tables or shelving. Brushed metal details in muted brass or matte black sit comfortably alongside the dark planks, maintaining a refined, contemporary look.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built on a rich spectrum of deep graphite, charcoal, ash grey, and soft black. When selecting paint colours for surrounding walls, woodwork, or ceiling surfaces, we recommend pairing this wallpaper with chalky off-whites, warm greys, or muted stone tones to establish a crisp, balanced contrast. If you prefer a more enveloping, monochrome scheme, deep charcoal or slate paint on adjoining trims and doors will create a unified, cocooning interior.
