Wallpaper - Timber Clad, Oak

Our Timber Clad, Oak wallpaper captures the visual warmth and organic movement of vertical wooden boards, showing gentle variations in grain, subtle knots, and tonal shifts from warm honey to deeper muted brown. What we particularly like about this design is the calm, continuous rhythm of the vertical planks, which brings an earthy, grounding element to an interior without feeling visually overwhelming. Like all Wallism wallpapers, it is made-to-measure to fit your specific wall dimensions and is entirely PVC-free, with a subtle structure in the wallpaper paper that adds depth to the printed surface.

In the room

We see this wallpaper working especially well across a larger feature wall in a living room, behind a dining table, or as a grounding backdrop in a bedroom. The vertical plank composition naturally draws the eye upward, making it an attractive choice for rooms where you want to emphasise ceiling height or create a sense of architectural structure. In an open-plan living area or a home office, running the design across a continuous, uninterrupted wall gives the natural grain pattern plenty of space to unfold without visual disruption. Because the overall contrast across the panels is relatively soft, the design sits comfortably behind lower furniture such as a sofa or low sideboard without clashing.

Styling it

To complement the natural, wood-inspired look of this design, we suggest pairing it with clean-lined contemporary furniture or minimalist pieces that let the vertical rhythm remain the focal point. Matte black metal accents, such as lighting fixtures or slim picture frames, provide a sharp, modern contrast against the warm, organic grain. We also like pairing this wallpaper with textured woven textiles, such as a coarse linen throw or a flatweave rug in stone or charcoal, which enhance the natural aesthetic without competing for attention.

Colour combinations

The design features a rich spectrum of natural wood tones, ranging from warm golden ochre and mid-tone oak brown to darker umber and subtle grey-brown undertones in the grain shadows. For surrounding walls and woodwork, we recommend pairing this wallpaper with soft, warm neutrals such as oatmeal, chalky off-white, or light greige to keep the room bright and balanced. If you prefer a richer or more dramatic interior, deeper shades like charcoal, espresso, or dark forest green on adjoining surfaces or cabinetry will beautifully draw out the deeper grain accents within the motif.
