Wallpaper - Crocker Parchment, Charcoal

Our Crocker Parchment, Charcoal wallpaper combines deep, atmospheric charcoal tones with the subtle visual texture of panelled parchment squares. Designed by Wallism Studio, the grid layout introduces a clean geometric rhythm, while soft tonal variations across the dark charcoal and faded black surface create depth without overwhelming a room. It is a quiet, grounded choice for creating an immersive backdrop. Like all our wallpapers, this design is made to measure and PVC-free, printed on paper with a subtle physical structure that hangs straightforwardly.

In the room

We find this design works exceptionally well when you want to bring architectural presence and a moody, enveloping feel to a space. In a living room or bedroom, wrapping all four walls creates a cohesive, intimate atmosphere where the repeating squares add structure without feeling rigid. Because the contrast within the pattern is relatively low, it also suits a dedicated accent wall behind a low headboard or a sleek sofa, providing a solid anchor for the entire space.

In a study or home office, the dark parchment effect introduces a focused, refined character. We particularly like how the subtle tonal shifts in the charcoal panels respond to different lighting conditions. In daylight, the delicate grid lines and mottled texture remain distinct, while softer artificial lighting in the evening allows the panels to melt into a rich, velvety backdrop.

Styling it

To balance the deep charcoal ground, we suggest pairing this design with furniture that brings warmth and tangible surface interest into the room.

• Combine the dark grid with warm wood furniture such as walnut or smoked oak to soften the deep palette while maintaining a sophisticated, mid-century or modern edge.
• Introduce textiles in natural, woven textures like coarse wool, linen, or bouclé in off-white, oat, or heathered grey to create clear visual contrast against the dark background.
• Incorporate muted metal accents in brushed brass or blackened steel to subtly echo the architectural lines of the parchment squares.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is built on deep charcoal, soft graphite, and faded soot tones, with faint variations of ash grey across the parchment grid.

To maintain a sophisticated, balanced palette, we recommend pairing it with surrounding woodwork or adjacent walls painted in chalky off-whites, warm stone, or deep muted slate. If you prefer a richer, more immersive interior, deep olive, burnt umber, or bronze accents complement the charcoal base without competing with its subtle geometry.
