Wallpaper - Liria Eden, Antique Olive

Created by Marta Cortese, our Liria Eden, Antique Olive wallpaper brings an enchanting woodland landscape to life in a rich, tonal palette of muted olive green, sepia, and warm stone. Intricately drawn trees frame an active forest scene filled with leaping hares, resting deer, perched birds, and delicate butterflies amidst wild ferns and lush undergrowth. The detailed line work evokes the timeless visual character of historic tapestries and vintage storybook illustrations, giving the composition an atmospheric depth. Produced as a made-to-measure, PVC-free wall mural printed on paper with a subtle surface structure, it creates a captivating scenic backdrop that is straightforward to hang.

In the room

Because of the scenic composition and expansive tree canopy, we see this wall mural working particularly well across a wider, uninterrupted wall where the full panorama can unfold. In a living room, placing it behind a main sofa allows the winding branches and woodland wildlife to create an immersive focal point without being obscured by taller storage pieces.

It is also wonderfully suited to a dining room or a bedroom, especially behind a low headboard where the quiet, earthy green tones can envelop the space. Because the design uses closely related olive and neutral tones rather than high-contrast colour clashes, it brings considerable narrative detail into a room while maintaining a tranquil, grounded visual presence.

Styling it

To let the detailed narrative of the mural take centre stage, we suggest keeping the surrounding furniture relatively calm and sculptural. Mid-toned or dark woods, such as walnut or aged oak, sit naturally alongside the olive green background and reinforce the organic, woodland feel.

For upholstery and window treatments, smooth matte textiles in natural oatmeal, flax, or deep moss help echo the forest floor without competing for attention. Understated ironmongery in antiqued brass or darkened bronze complements the vintage-inspired line work, anchoring the room without adding unnecessary glare or distraction.

Colour combinations

The palette within the design is built on a foundation of antique olive green, complemented by softer sage undertones, pale stone, and warm sepia details.

When choosing paint colours for adjoining walls, skirting, or woodwork, warm off-whites, soft parchment, or muted mushroom tones will gently highlight the lighter animals and flora. If you prefer a richer, more enveloping feel, painting the surrounding trim and ceiling in a coordinating deep olive or soft umber creates a cohesive, heritage-inspired atmosphere.
