Wallpaper - Ginkgo Folia, Sage Milk

Our Ginkgo Folia wallpaper in Sage Milk brings together an overlapping arrangement of fan-shaped ginkgo leaves, defined by delicate radiating vein lines and subtle layered shading. The soft sage green tones sit over a creamy milk-white ground, creating a quiet visual rhythm that feels organic and balanced on the wall. Designed by Wallism Studio, this repeating botanical pattern offers a gentle sense of depth without overwhelming the space. Like all of our wallpapers, it is custom made-to-measure and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface texture.

In the room

Because of its soft, tone-on-tone contrast and gentle repeat, our design works comfortably across entire rooms rather than being limited to a single feature wall. In a bedroom, we see it creating an enveloping backdrop behind a bed frame, where the botanical curves introduce movement while keeping the overall atmosphere grounded and calm. It also translates naturally into living rooms or home offices, where the detailed linework rewards closer viewing without distracting from daily routines. In spaces with soft daylight, the quiet gradations between sage and warm cream shift subtly as the light changes through the day.

Styling it

When styling around this wallpaper, we suggest leaning into natural materials and rounded forms that mirror the organic curves of the ginkgo leaves. Light-toned woods like white oak or ash keep the setting airy and grounded, while upholstered seating in unbleached linen or bouclé balances the detailed linework of the pattern. To add a touch of definition, subtle accents in antique brass or muted dark bronze provide crisp focus against the soft green palette.

Color combinations

The design itself is built on quiet sage greens, pale celadon tints, and a soft milky cream backdrop. To complement these verified tones, we recommend surrounding the wallpaper with off-white or warm ivory woodwork for a cohesive transition. Soft olive, warm gray, or muted clay tones also work well on adjacent painted surfaces or larger textiles, adding depth while keeping the palette cohesive and grounded.
