Wallpaper - Ginkgo Folia, Blue Shale

Our Ginkgo Folia wallpaper in Blue Shale brings an elegant, fan-shaped botanical pattern to life through delicate, finely etched linework. Overlapping ginkgo biloba leaves create a rhythmic, scalloped composition across the wall, balanced by soft slate-blue and muted shale-gray tones. The detailed radiating veins within each leaf give the design visual depth and subtle movement without overwhelming the room. Made to measure for your exact wall dimensions, our wallpaper is PVC-free and printed on paper with a subtle physical structure that is straightforward to hang.

In the room

Because the repeating ginkgo motif has a balanced density and a cohesive tonal palette, we see this wallpaper working beautifully in a bedroom behind the headboard or wrapping a dining room. The overlapping scalloped shapes establish a gentle visual cadence that stays calm even across larger, uninterrupted wall surfaces. In an entryway or powder room, the intricate line work offers plenty of detail to appreciate up close, while the cool blue-gray background maintains a quiet, composed backdrop for everyday living.

Styling it

We like pairing this design with clean-lined furniture and warm, natural elements that balance its cool shale palette. Warm walnut or natural oak wood pieces introduce an organic groundedness alongside the leafy motif. To keep the focus on the fine line work of the wallpaper, we suggest keeping larger upholstered furniture in solid, woven textiles like oatmeal linen or charcoal wool rather than competing patterns. Matte black or brushed brass accents also complement the graphic clarity of the ginkgo fans without feeling cluttered.

Color combinations

The design itself centers on muted slate blue, soft denim, and dusty blue-gray with subtle charcoal line details. Around this wallpaper, we recommend introducing crisp soft whites or pale mist gray on adjacent walls and trim to let the blue tones take center stage. For a richer contrast, deep navy, slate, or muted warm ochre accents in decorative pillows and artwork create a sophisticated, tailored dialogue with the cool background.
