Wallpaper - Kasumi Garden, Indigo Haze

Created by designer Marta Cortese, our Kasumi Garden, Indigo Haze wallpaper captures a lush botanical landscape against a misty, slate-blue sky filled with drifting clouds. Slender bamboo stems rise toward the upper wall, anchored by a dense bed of garden blooms including white lilies, peonies, irises, and delicate field blossoms with coral, dusty pink, and soft blue accents. Stylized scalloped ground bands along the bottom give the mural a layered, traditional scenic composition. Printed to order as made-to-measure, PVC-free wall murals, our wallpapers feature a subtle paper structure that adds character to any interior.

In the room

We designed this mural wallpaper to work as a landscape feature across an uninterrupted wall, allowing the progression from the rich floral foreground up to the bamboo and open sky to be experienced at full scale. In a living room behind a low-backed sofa or along a primary bedroom wall behind the bed, the lower floral horizon stays visible while the taller bamboo and cloudy indigo sky provide height and visual breathing room. It also works beautifully in a dining room or wide entryway where guests can appreciate the fine botanical details up close.

Styling it

Because the botanical illustration carries considerable detail across the lower portion of the wall, we suggest pairing it with clean-lined furniture that keeps the sightline open. Low-profile seating and open-leg tables let the dense floral motifs remain in view rather than cutting them off abruptly.

To complement the scenic garden feel, bring in furnishings in warm woods like walnut or natural oak, which balance the cooler indigo and slate tones of the background. For upholstered pieces and drapery, solid fabrics in off-white, muted indigo, or soft dusty rose help draw out the subtle floral tones without competing with the mural's intricate pattern.

Color combinations

Our wallpaper is built around a muted indigo and slate blue background, layered with crisp white, soft ivory, olive green, dusty rose, coral red, and cornflower blue accents.

When choosing surrounding colors for adjoining walls, trim, or cabinetry, we recommend:

• Chalky off-white or soft cream to echo the prominent white lilies and peonies, keeping the space bright and balanced.
• Deep navy or slate blue on adjacent walls, woodwork, or trim to create a cohesive, enveloping feel that continues the mural's sky tone.
• Muted terracotta, dusty rose, or sage green accents in ceramics, pillows, or accent chairs to gently pick up the smaller flower details.
