Wallpaper - Kasumi Garden, Morning Mist

Our Kasumi Garden, Morning Mist wallpaper brings together an intricate botanical garden scene set against a soft, misty sage backdrop. Created by Marta Cortese, this mural wallpaper depicts lush clusters of blooming peonies, delicate white florals, bamboo shoots, and accents of cobalt blue and coral blossoms anchored by decorative scalloped cloud motifs along the base. The composition creates a serene, layered landscape with stylized clouds drifting across the upper background, giving the scene an atmospheric, painterly feel. Produced made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, it offers a refined panoramic feature for your interior.

In the room

Because this mural wallpaper builds from a dense floral border at the lower edge toward airy bamboo and floating clouds above, we find it works particularly well across a wide, uninterrupted wall. In a living room or primary bedroom, placing this design behind a low sofa or a minimalist bed frame allows the rich botanical details at the base to stay visible while giving the vertical bamboo stems room to draw the eye upward.

In a dedicated dining room or a quiet home office, the muted morning mist palette creates a calm, contemplative environment without overwhelming the space. We suggest keeping tall, heavy bookcases away from the main wall so the horizontal flow of the floral landscape remains unbroken.

Styling it

To complement the delicate Japanese-inspired botanical artwork, we like pairing this wallpaper with furniture that features clean silhouettes and natural finishes:

• Choose light or medium warm wood tones, such as natural ash, white oak, or light teak, to echo the organic warmth in the botanical stems and bamboo.
• Select upholstery and textiles in textured cream, oatmeal, or pale linen, which reflect the soft cloud elements in the artwork and keep the room light.
• Incorporate subtle matte black or brushed brass accents in lighting or hardware to subtly pick up the deep navy scalloped contours and warm ochre ground detailing.

Color combinations

The artwork features a harmonious palette centered around muted sage green, creamy white, soft coral, and deep indigo navy, highlighted with touches of cornflower blue and warm ochre.

When choosing paint for adjoining walls, trim, or ceilings, a soft off-white or a pale sage with gray undertones creates an effortless, tonal transition. For a bolder, more enveloping look, bringing a deep midnight navy or slate blue onto nearby doors, trim, or an accent chair draws directly from the darker scalloped clouds at the base of the design.
