Wallpaper - Conoid Grain, Venetian

Our Conoid Grain, Venetian wallpaper translates the sweeping, organic lines of natural woodgrain into a warm, decorative wall mural. Designed by Wallism Studio, the motif features flowing contoured rings, undulating curves and fine vertical fibrous striations in rich terracotta and Venetian red tones, offset by soft cream accents. The fluid, vertical movement of the pattern gives walls height and an expressive surface character without feeling overwhelming. Made to measure to your exact wall dimensions, our wallpapers are PVC-free and printed on paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

We find this pattern works particularly well across wider living room walls or behind a headboard in a bedroom, where the undulating grain has space to flow uninterrupted across the surface. Because the movement is predominantly vertical, our design also lends an elegant sense of height to spaces with standard ceiling heights, such as hallways or a dining room. The rhythmic repetition has enough visual interest to stand out on a single accent wall, while the tonal warmth means it can also envelop an entire study or dining area without clashing with the architecture.

Styling it

The warm terracotta tones and graphic grain of this wallpaper pair naturally with mid-century modern shapes or clean, contemporary silhouettes. To keep the focus on the flowing pattern, we suggest pairing it with furniture in deeper walnut or simple painted finishes in warm off-white or charcoal. Soft woven upholstery in neutral cream or muted clay tones will echo the wallpaper's palette while letting the linear movement remain the focal point.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built on warm Venetian red, earthy terracotta, and soft cream grain lines. Around it, we recommend working with surrounding wall colours and woodwork in warm, creamy whites or soft linen tones to maintain a calm, cohesive backdrop. For a more dramatic, layered look, deep rust, muted olive green, or rich espresso brown on adjacent trim or built-in joinery create a grounded, considered scheme.
