Wallpaper - Conoid Grain, Rose Madder

Our Conoid Grain, Rose Madder wallpaper translates the organic contours of natural wood grain into a soft, graphic line pattern with a gentle blush undertone. The vertical flow of flowing grain lines and subtle knots creates an understated visual rhythm that brings warmth and delicate texture to a room without feeling rustic. Printed with subtle physical structure in the paper, our PVC-free wallpapers are made-to-measure to fit your wall dimensions and designed to be straightforward to hang.

In the room

We see this design working especially well in spaces where you want subtle surface interest rather than a high-contrast pattern. In a bedroom, installing it on the wall behind the bed creates a gentle backdrop that softens the room while keeping the atmosphere calm and light. Because the vertical lines and low contrast repeat naturally across broader spans, it also works beautifully across all four walls in a dressing room, hallway, or home office. In compact rooms or entryways, the upward movement of the grain helps draw the eye vertically without overwhelming smaller wall areas.

Styling it

Because the wood grain motif is stylised rather than a photographic imitation, it pairs comfortably with modern, minimalist, and mid-century interiors. We would balance the delicate rose-tinted lines by introducing furniture with clean, defined silhouettes. Matte painted finishes or warm, natural materials allow the graphic quality of the wallpaper to sit quietly in the background. Keeping larger upholstery in simple, textured woven fabrics ensures the room feels cohesive without competing patterns.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built on a pale, warm neutral base layered with fine rose madder linework, giving it a soft blush and pale wood appearance. To complement this palette, we suggest pairing it with warm off-whites, soft stone, or muted putty tones on adjacent walls and woodwork. If you want to introduce deeper contrast, rich burgundies, deep terracotta, or muted olive greens on textiles and accent furniture ground the pale background and highlight the pink undertones of the linework.
