Wallpaper - Ginko Folly, Indigo

Our Ginko Folly wallpaper in Indigo features an overlapping fan motif inspired by ginkgo leaves, arranged in a structured, scalloped geometric repeat. Crisp, fine radiating linework details each leaf silhouette, set against a deep indigo blue backdrop with soft off-white outlining that gives the pattern an Art Deco architectural rhythm. The balanced scale and orderly composition bring a measured graphic presence to walls, functioning beautifully as a focal point or a refined backdrop. Produced made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure, this design is straightforward to hang.

In the room

The rhythmic scale of this pattern makes it especially versatile across different wall dimensions. In an entryway or hallway, the repeating arches create an engaging sense of movement that draws the eye down the space without feeling chaotic. In a dining room or bedroom, we love using this design on a feature wall behind a headboard or dining table, where the deep indigo ground provides rich visual depth while the delicate fan detailing stays crisp and clear. Because the geometric repeat is tight and consistent, it also handles walls with doorways, windows, or architectural interruptions gracefully.

Styling it

To complement the graphic geometry of this pattern, we suggest balancing the wall with furniture that has clean silhouettes and softer organic curves. Warm walnut or medium-toned wood pieces provide a natural grounded contrast against the deep blue tone, preventing the space from feeling overly formal. Matte brass or warm metallic hardware accents echo the vintage, decorative influence of the fan arches without competing with the linework. Keeping larger upholstery pieces in quiet neutral tones allows the wallpaper to serve as the defining pattern in the room.

Color combinations

The primary palette of this design centers on deep indigo blue paired with soft off-white and pale grey-blue linework. Around this wallpaper, we recommend working with warm ivory or muted cream on adjacent walls and trim to maintain a soft, inviting contrast rather than a stark one. For accents in textiles or cabinetry, deep navy, warm camel, tobacco brown, or subtle muted terracotta work naturally alongside the rich indigo base.
