Wallpaper - Ginko Folly, Olive Parchment

Our Ginko Folly, Olive Parchment wallpaper brings together organic botanicals and geometric rhythm in a classic fan repeat. Designed by Wallism Studio, the motif layers stylized ginkgo leaves into an orderly scalloped pattern, where fine radiating veins bring lightness to each fan shape. Deep olive green linework outlines the foliage against a warm parchment background, creating a calm, balanced contrast that feels timeless. Like all our wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface texture, making it straightforward to hang in any home.

In the room

Because the fan repeat has an even, measured rhythm, this wallpaper works gracefully across an entire room without feeling overwhelming. We especially like it wrapping all four walls in a bedroom, dining room, or hallway, where the repeating scallops create an architectural, enveloping feel. In a living room, giving the design a wide accent wall behind a sofa allows the full wave-like geometry of the ginkgo leaves to unfold naturally. The medium scale of the motif also adapts easily to rooms with windows, doors, or alcoves, since the symmetrical layout remains balanced even across narrower sections of wall.

Styling it

We would pair this pattern with mid-century modern or classic contemporary furnishings that echo its structured curves. Rounded furniture shapes, such as curved dining chairs or an arched console, complement the fan geometry without competing against it. Warm wood tones like walnut or teak sit beautifully against the parchment base, while deep forest green or muted brass hardware can pick up on the olive accents. To keep the focus on the rhythmic linework, we suggest choosing quieter, solid textiles on upholstery and drapery rather than introducing heavy competing prints.

Color combinations

The design is built on olive green linework set over a soft parchment beige ground. When choosing surrounding wall paint or millwork, creamy off-whites, warm linen tones, and soft oat shades create a gentle, tonal extension of the background. If you want more definition, deep olive, moss, or dark spruce on baseboards, doors, or built-in cabinetry will ground the pattern and highlight the botanical lines. Muted ochre and warm cognac accents also provide a rich, natural complement in surrounding furnishings.
