Wallpaper - Ginko Folly, Petrol Ink

Our Ginko Folly wallpaper in Petrol Ink pairs an Art Deco-inspired scalloped fan structure with stylized ginkgo leaf silhouettes. Set in deep petrol blue and dark inky tones with soft slate-teal outlines, the pattern creates an undulating, rhythmic geometry that balances botanical elegance with architectural order. The fine radiating veins inside each leaf add subtle visual detail without overpowering the overall scale of the repeat. Produced made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure, this design brings a rich, tailored atmosphere to any room.

In the room

Because of its orderly geometric rhythm and deep, immersive palette, we see this design working beautifully across an entire dining room or bedroom where you want an enveloping, intimate mood. The repeating scalloped arches give structure to larger uninterrupted walls, yet the scale is tight enough that doorways, windows, and architectural breaks do not disrupt the overall visual flow. In an entryway, powder room, or a dedicated home office, it creates an immediate sense of quiet depth and sophistication.

Styling it

We suggest pairing this wallpaper with rich mid-to-dark wood finishes, such as walnut or stained oak, which complement the dark petrol tones without competing for attention. Warm metallic accents in aged brass or brushed bronze provide a refined contrast against the deep teal background, echoing the Art Deco character of the fan motif. To keep the focus on the wallpaper's rhythmic geometry, surround it with tailored upholstery in solid neutral fabrics and simple, clean-lined silhouettes.

Color combinations

The design itself is built on deep inky teal, rich petrol blue, and muted slate-green linework. For surrounding walls, trim, and ceilings, we love matching the deeper undertones with moody navy or dark charcoal for a cohesive, dramatic look. If you prefer a lighter contrast, soft oyster whites, muted greys, or gentle taupes on adjacent walls and woodwork keep the space bright while letting the deep tones of the wallpaper stand out.
