Wallpaper - Ginko Folly, Sage Linen

Our Ginko Folly, Sage Linen wallpaper brings an elegant botanical rhythm to interior walls through a repeating fan pattern inspired by ginkgo leaves. Rendered in a soothing palette of muted sage green line work over a warm linen-toned background, the geometric scallop composition balances organic flora with classic Art Deco symmetry. The fine radiating veins within each leaf provide delicate visual texture while keeping the overall impression calm and ordered. Made-to-measure and PVC-free, this design features a subtle structure in the paper that complements its refined, timeless aesthetic.

In the room

Because the fan motif repeats in a balanced, rhythmic grid, we see this working beautifully across all four walls of a bedroom or powder room without overwhelming the space. The soft contrast between sage and warm linen allows the pattern to feel structured yet gentle, making it an excellent backdrop behind a bed or wrapping an entire entryway. In open-plan living areas or dining rooms, it gives larger wall expanses a quiet sense of architectural cohesion, holding interest across wide continuous surfaces while remaining peaceful under both soft morning daylight and warm evening lamplight.

Styling it

We would pair this design with clean-lined furniture that echoes its refined geometry. Mid-century silhouettes or contemporary pieces in warm wood tones, such as walnut or natural white oak, create a grounded dialogue with the organic leaf motif. Unlacquered brass or muted bronze hardware brings out the subtle warmth in the linen ground, while simple ceramic accents and unpatterned upholstery keep the focus on the wallpaper's delicate linework.

Color combinations

The design itself centers around gentle sage green and a warm, neutral linen base. For adjacent walls, baseboards, or cabinetry, we suggest pulling directly from these tones:

• Soft off-whites with creamy undertones or muted ivory to keep surrounding walls light and cohesive.
• Deeper olive or muted moss greens to draw out the linework and create rich, tonal contrast on painted woodwork or doors.
• Warm greige or light taupe accents to extend the grounded linen background across larger upholstered furniture or drapery.
