Wallpaper - Grain Clad, Rosewood

Our Grain Clad, Rosewood wallpaper introduces the rich visual warmth of dark timber panelling through wide vertical planks and intricate, swirling woodgrain. What we particularly appreciate about this mural wallpaper is the depth within its palette, blending deep espresso and chocolate browns with subtle auburn and charcoal undertones. The visual flow of natural knots, whorls, and linear grain gives the surface an architectural presence without feeling heavy or rigid. Printed made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper structure, our wallpaper creates an intimate, grounded backdrop that works naturally across accent walls and wrapped spaces alike.

In the room

We love how this design anchors a room, making it especially effective in spaces where you want a cocooning, refined atmosphere. In a living room, it sits handsomely across a primary wall behind a low sofa or media console, giving the seating area a clear focal point. For a bedroom, placing this design behind the headboard creates an enveloping feature wall that lends itself well to soft evening lamplight. Because the vertical planks introduce a gentle upward rhythm, it also works remarkably well in a dining room or home study, where the darker woodgrain provides an intimate setting around a dining table or desk. If you have an entryway or hallway with good natural light, using our wall murals here establishes an architectural feel the moment you step through the door.

Styling it

When working with such a deep timber motif, balance is key to keeping the interior feeling layered and intentional.

• Pair the deep rosewood tones with tailored upholstery in lighter neutral weaves, such as oatmeal, warm grey, or ecru, to create an appealing visual relief against the wall.
• Introduce warm accent metals like brushed brass, antique bronze, or muted copper in your light fixtures and hardware, which naturally echo the faint auburn undertones in the grain.
• Keep surrounding furniture lines clean and low-profile to let the tall vertical planks maintain their sense of height and proportion.

Colour combinations

The pattern itself is built from deep espresso brown, dark chocolate, and charred charcoal tones, lifted by subtle hints of chestnut and warm rosewood brown in the finer grain lines. To complement this palette on adjacent walls and woodwork, we recommend pairing it with warm off-whites, creamy bone, or soft stone tones. If you prefer a richer, more monochromatic look, deep olive green, muted tobacco, or slate grey on nearby cabinetry and curtains create a cohesive, moody palette that feels balanced rather than stark.
