Wallpaper - Sinuous Ceres, Midnight Ebony

Designed by Marta Cortese, our Sinuous Ceres, Midnight Ebony wallpaper brings an expressive botanical landscape into the room. The composition rises from dense, curving blades of tall grasses and wheat-like stems at the base into delicate flowering seed heads set against a deep midnight black backdrop. Soft golden ochre, wheat, and beige tones create a warm, striking contrast with the dark background, giving the illustrated flora a graphic yet organic rhythm. Produced as made-to-measure wall murals on our PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, it offers a distinct, enveloping presence for your interior.

In the room

We see this design working beautifully on a main feature wall in a living room, dining room, or bedroom. Because the densest foliage anchors the lower third of the design before tapering into lighter sprigs against the black sky, it naturally complements low-profile furniture like a headboard, low sideboard, or sofa without losing its visual impact. In a dining area or an entryway with taller ceilings, the vertical sweep of the grasses draws the eye upward, giving the space a grounded yet open feel.

Styling it

When styling around this wallpaper, we recommend letting the rich contrast take centre stage. Warm wood furniture, such as smoked oak or mid-toned walnut, echoes the earthy ochre and golden hues of the grasses. Upholstery in matte black, charcoal, or textured oatmeal fabrics helps ground the room, while subtle brass or warm metallic accents can gently pick up on the golden tones without overwhelming the organic feel of the botanical motif.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is built on deep ebony black and layered tones of warm ochre, sandy wheat, and soft beige. On adjoining walls, we suggest continuing the palette with warm off-whites or soft stone shades to keep the room bright while framing the mural. For a moodier, more dramatic interior, pairing it with deep charcoal or rich espresso paintwork creates a cosy, cohesive atmosphere.
