Wallpaper - Kasumi Garden, Indigo Haze

Our Kasumi Garden, Indigo Haze wallpaper, designed by Marta Cortese, presents an atmospheric botanical scene steeped in misty, traditional garden beauty. Set against a textured, cloudy slate-indigo backdrop, the composition rises from scalloped layers of mist into blooming clusters of white peonies, delicate irises, and soft coral blossoms, framed by slender bamboo stems reaching towards the sky. The painterly character and gentle contrast give this wall mural a serene, expansive presence. Like all our wallpapers, it is custom made-to-measure and completely PVC-free, with a subtle structure in the paper that enhances the depth of the motif.

In the room

We see this mural wallpaper working particularly well in spaces where you want to create an immersive, calm atmosphere. In a bedroom, placing it along the wall behind the headboard allows the botanical details at the base to frame the bed naturally, while the tall bamboo and misty clouds draw the eye upwards. It also suits a dining room or living room on a wide, uninterrupted wall where the full horizontal landscape and layered scenic depth have space to unfold. In a quiet study or home office, the muted indigo and softly detailed foliage bring a sense of tranquil focus without overwhelming the room.

Styling it

Because the pattern carries abundant floral detail across the lower half, we recommend pairing it with furniture that has clean, understated lines. Simple low-profile seating or a minimalist bed frame allows the foreground blooms and scalloped cloud layers to remain fully visible.

Natural timber finishes in warm ash, light oak, or muted walnut complement the botanical stems and bamboo stalks beautifully. For fabrics, we suggest keeping surrounding upholstery and curtains in plain weaves or gentle tactile textures such as washed linen and smooth wool, avoiding competing decorative patterns.

Colour combinations

The design features a nuanced palette of dusky indigo, slate blue, and hazy grey, accented by crisp white petals, muted olive greens, and subtle touches of soft coral, rose, and cornflower blue.

To create a cohesive scheme, consider pulling the hazy blue-grey from the background onto adjacent painted walls or architectural woodwork. If you prefer a lighter, airier contrast, soft chalky whites or pale stone tones will make the dark indigo backdrop stand out cleanly. For accent furnishings, muted terracotta, dusty rose, or deeper navy velvet pick up the delicate floral highlights and ground the overall room scheme.
