Wallpaper - Ginkgo Folia, Feather

Our Ginkgo Folia, Feather wallpaper features an overlapping canopy of stylised ginkgo biloba leaves, drawn with delicate, radiating line work. Created by Wallism Studio, the pattern balances botanical curves with a soft, monochromatic grey and subtle taupe palette. The low contrast between the fan-shaped foliage and the background gives the repeat an airy, tranquil rhythm that sits quietly on a wall without feeling flat. Made to measure on our PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, it is straightforward to hang and brings a serene graphic presence to both contemporary and classic spaces.

In the room

Because of its gentle tonal variation and rhythmic repeat, we see this design working beautifully across an entire bedroom or living room rather than being restricted to a single accent wall. In spaces with softer natural daylight, the fine vein details of the ginkgo fans remain clear without overpowering the room. It also works very well in a hallway or dining area, where the overlapping motifs create visual depth on walls that are partially framed by doorways or lower furniture.

Styling it

We suggest pairing this pattern with warm, understated interior elements to complement its cool, muted base:

• Combine with natural warm woods such as white oak, birch, or pale ash to introduce organic warmth against the grey foliage.
• Introduce tactile, woven textiles in neutral tones like oat, unbleached linen, and soft chalky wool for subtle textural contrast.
• Incorporate simple lighting with matte porcelain or brushed nickel finishes that echo the soft, clean lines of the leaves.

Colour combinations

The design itself is composed of soft dove greys, muted feather tones, and delicate charcoal outlines. To build a cohesive palette around it, we recommend using off-white or pale greige on adjacent walls and woodwork to maintain an open feel. For deeper accents, muted slate grey, charcoal, or dark charcoal cabinetry will pick up the fine line work in the ginkgo leaves and ground the space.
