Wallpaper - Scintilla, Blue Haze

Our Scintilla, Blue Haze wallpaper brings an atmospheric, painterly texture to the wall through soft sweeps of misty slate and pale chalky blue. Designed by Wallism Studio, the motif balances fine stippled detailing with sweeping, cloud-like bands that drift gently across the surface. The low contrast between its cool grey-blue tones creates a quiet, cohesive backdrop rather than a sharp graphic statement, giving any room a subtle sense of depth and gentle movement. Made to measure to your exact wall dimensions, our PVC-free wallpapers feature a subtle surface texture in the paper and are straightforward to hang.

In the room

Because the pattern is built around soft horizontal drifts rather than rigid repeats, we find this design works exceptionally well across all four walls in a bedroom or guest room. It wraps the space without ever feeling heavy or overwhelming. In a living room or quiet home office, it also serves beautifully as a calm feature wall behind a sofa or desk, offering visual interest that does not compete with your daily routine or furniture placement. The gentle interplay between the pale blue tones and fine textured stippling responds gracefully to changing daylight, looking fresh and airy in the morning and settling into a cosy, moody grey-blue under low evening lamps.

Styling it

We suggest pairing this design with simple, grounded furnishings that let the soft movement on the wall breathe. Tailored upholstery in neutral off-white or charcoal wool grounds the cooler palette nicely, while unvarnished natural oak or ash furniture adds organic warmth to counteract the mistier blue tones. To keep the room feeling layered rather than cold, introduce touches of blackened metal or matte ceramics, avoiding high-gloss finishes that might clash with the design’s soft, chalky feel.

Colour combinations

The pattern itself is composed of soft powder blues, hazy slate greys, and muted chalk undertones. When painting surrounding walls, doors, or skirting, we recommend matching these undertones with crisp off-whites, soft limestone hues, or a deeper mineral slate grey. If you want to introduce an accent tone through textiles or artwork, muted rust, warm ochre, or deep moss green offer a sophisticated contrast to the cool blue backdrop.
