Wallpaper - Scintilla, Cloudstone

Our Scintilla, Cloudstone wallpaper brings a quiet, atmospheric presence to an interior with its soft mineral drift and fine stippled detailing. Designed by Wallism Studio, the motif balances gentle tonal shifts of light grey and soft off-white, creating a cloudy, stone-like visual texture that moves quietly across the surface. The low contrast and delicate patterning give walls subtle depth without overwhelming surrounding decor. Produced made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, it offers a refined backdrop that sits naturally across both small and expansive spaces.

In the room

Because of its gentle tonal range and continuous, fluid movement, we see this design working beautifully across an entire living room or bedroom. Unlike high-contrast murals that demand a single focal point, the soft grey layers create an enveloping feel when wrapped around all four walls.

In a hallway or open-plan dining space, the fine detailing holds up to close viewing while reading as a calm, textured neutral from a distance. It works just as effectively in compact rooms with limited daylight, where its pale grey palette maintains a bright, open atmosphere without feeling sterile.

Styling it

We like to balance the soft, organic lines of this wallpaper with clean-lined contemporary furniture. Pieces with simple silhouettes allow the subtle visual texture of the wall to remain noticeable without competing for attention.

To introduce warmth against the cool grey background, we suggest incorporating natural wood elements such as ash, bleached oak, or deeper walnut. Tactile upholstery in bouclé, brushed wool, or woven textiles adds physical richness that complements the stone-inspired surface. Matte black light fittings or brushed steel accents can also be introduced to ground the space and provide subtle definition.

Colour combinations

The palette within the design is built on subtle, layered tones of pale mist, soft silver grey, and warm off-white.

When choosing paint colours for woodwork, ceilings, or adjacent walls, crisp chalky whites provide a fresh, modern frame. For a softer, more tonal transition, warm greiges and pale stone hues blend effortlessly with the pattern. If you prefer higher contrast, deeper charcoal, ink blue, or rich forest green on accent furniture or cabinetry will stand out cleanly against the pale grey background.
