Wallpaper - Scintilla, Sage Smoke

Our Scintilla, Sage Smoke wallpaper pairs a muted, smoky sage green base with delicate horizontal movement and soft stippled details. What we particularly like about this design is its understated visual depth, created by gentle tonal shifts and fine cloud-like textures that drift subtly across the surface. Rather than relying on a heavy graphic motif, the pattern introduces quiet organic variation that brings depth to flat walls without dominating the room. Our wallpapers are made-to-measure to fit your exact wall dimensions, printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical structure, and designed to be straightforward to hang.

In the room

Because of its restrained contrast and fluid horizontal drift, we see this design working naturally across all four walls in a bedroom, living room, or home office. In smaller rooms or compact hallways, the soft sage tones add colour and interest without overwhelming the available space. In larger open-plan living areas, we would use it across wide, uninterrupted walls where the gentle gradient effects and fine stippling have space to unfold continuously.

The design also responds beautifully to shifting daylight. In bright natural light, the subtle differences between the smoky sage and softer green undertones become clear, while under warmer evening lamplight, the entire wall settles into a calm, cohesive backdrop.

Styling it

We would pair this mural wallpaper with warm natural materials and clean, contemporary silhouettes. Warm woods such as oak or walnut bring out the earthy qualities of the sage palette, creating a balanced and grounded interior.

To keep the atmosphere relaxed, we like combining the wallpaper with neutral upholstery in textured woven fabrics, off-white linens, and matte ceramic accents. If you want to introduce metal finishes, muted brass or brushed bronze provides a refined contrast against the muted green surface.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is defined by smoky sage green, soft grey-green, and muted moss tones. When choosing surrounding colours, we suggest:

• Warm off-whites and soft chalky creams for skirting, architraves, and adjacent painted walls to keep the scheme light and fresh.
• Deeper forest greens or rich olive accents in textiles and cushions to build a sophisticated tonal gradient.
• Earthy neutrals like warm taupe, sand, or terracotta accents for added warmth and visual contrast.
