Wallpaper - Ginko Folly, Marine Ivory

Our Ginko Folly wallpaper brings together classic Art Deco fan geometry and organic botanical detail in a balanced, rhythmic repeat. Delicate radiating linework defines each ginkgo leaf, enclosed within clean arched outlines that create a graceful scalloped pattern across the wall. The marine blue linework against a soft ivory ground provides crisp visual contrast while maintaining an airy, uncluttered feel. Custom made to measure and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical texture, this design offers an elegant backdrop that feels both structured and decorative.

In the room

We see this wallpaper working particularly well in spaces where you want geometric order without heavy visual weight. In a dining room or living room, the repeating scallop structure adds refined architectural interest across an entire room or on a dedicated feature wall behind low-profile seating. The medium scale of the ginkgo motif also makes it versatile for more compact areas, such as a hallway, study, or bedroom, where the pattern repeat creates continuous vertical flow without overwhelming smaller wall spaces.

Styling it

The balanced geometry of Ginko Folly pairs naturally with mid-century modern, classic contemporary, or Art Deco-inspired interiors. We would combine it with warm wood finishes such as walnut or mid-toned oak, which bring depth against the ivory background. To complement the defined marine blue lines, consider understated furniture silhouettes and subtle metallic details in brushed brass or antique bronze. Keeping surrounding upholstery and larger textiles relatively plain lets the intricate leaf linework remain the primary visual focus in the space.

Colour combinations

The design centres on deep marine blue set over a warm ivory foundation. For adjacent walls, woodwork, and ceilings, off-whites, soft creams, and pale stone shades create a seamless, harmonious transition. If you prefer higher contrast, navy or midnight blue cabinetry and trim pick out the depth of the motif outlines. Accent colours such as warm ochre, muted mustard, or soft terracotta in accessories provide a natural, warming counterpoint to the cool blue tones.
